I have to admit, I’m a devoted feline enthusiast. Over the years, I’ve painted and drawn many cats, beginning with my own, Rebeca, and my wife’s beloved Tomi.

While working on “The Challenger,” I imagined a large composition of stray cats gathered in an alley, charged with territorial tension. The painting evolved into a focused study of a young tomcat daring to confront the dominant alpha male.
